This is a little update to my post, Curiouser and curiouser, about the chronology of the ‘Anonymous’ anti-Scientology videos.

• (Fri 1 Feb c. 19:30 GMT) YouTube user Church0fScientology posted their own version of the Feb 10 protest “code of conduct”. The text is the same as that posted by wearelegionanon2 (see my other post for details), except that the tag-line ending, “And now we are expected,” is reverted to the original, “Expect us.”

Although the relationships between the users posting videos as ‘Anonymous’ remain opaque, it seems that “Church0fScientology” is trying to position itself as a kind of clearing house for ‘official’ Anonymous announcements. I can’t see that anyone will complain about this, since it would pay to have a single source for purposes of coordination, unless “Church0fScientology” tries to exert some kind of control over the rest of the Anonymouses.

The computer voice used for this video is unaware that ‘legible’ is pronounced with a soft ‘g’, and renders ‘memes’ as ‘me-mes’. I wonder, which voice-generation software is this? My Mac OS X 10.4 Speech utility also says, “me-mes”.
