There seems to be a whole lotta buzz about the race for the White House this time around. Romney’s out, leaving McCain effectively unopposed. The Democrat stoush looks set to continue down to the wire in August. Everyone’s looking for a change of pace.

Perhaps the dumbest thing the neo-cons never did was convince the world they don’t exist.

Instead, they let it all get a little crazy; invasions, secret prisons, torture, domestic spying, perjury. No doubt there’s more to come, even if Bush proactively pardons everyone. Many of the major players have dropped out of the limelight (but no doubt they’re still there, somewhere).

America seems to be tired of it, at last. Thank the gods. Pity we can’t vote here, out across the pond, but we’ve got high hopes.
